About this Role

The Distribution Warehouse Associate at Ampacity keeps our supply chain moving - receiving, storing, and shipping inventory accurately and on schedule so orders reach customers on time. This hands-on role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in precision, and is ready to grow their skills on the floor (including forklift certification opportunities).

Pay Range: $15-$16 per hour

What You'll Do
  • Carry out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing, and shipping inventory in line with purchase orders and shipping schedules - from incoming stock to outbound parcels.
  • Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport it to the shipping bay
  • Receive and document incoming deliveries and returns
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse
  • Flag missing, lost, or damaged materials to your supervisor immediately
  • Pack and label merchandise securely for shipping
  • Scan labels to confirm products are routed to the correct destination
  • Handle all merchandise with care
  • Help train new team members as needed
What You'll Bring
  • Prior warehouse, distribution, or shipping/receiving experience preferred
  • Experience operating a forklift is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when documenting inventory and labeling shipments
  • Ability to follow directions and established procedures accurately
  • Comfortable with physical, hands-on work and repetitive tasks
  • Reliable and able to work a full schedule, including up to 50 hours per week
  • Familiarity with basic warehouse safety practices (OSHA 10 certification preferred)
  • Understanding of inventory tracking and shipping/receiving processes

Physical Expectations

  • Indoor warehouse facility with regular exposure to dust, fumes, odors, varying temperatures, and machinery noise.
  • Fast-paced environment with heavy machinery operation including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.

Physical Expectations

  • Intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting materials up to 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to bend, squat, reach, push, and pull equipment throughout the facility from floor to overhead storage areas.
