The Opportunity

We are looking for a dependable Warehouse Associate/Driver to join our Food and Logistics team. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, ensuring inventory is received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently. The Warehouse Associate also serves as a backup driver when required.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Receive, inspect, store, pick, pack, and stage inventory accurately to support daily warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quantity, quality, damage, expiry dates, temperature requirements, and compliance with receiving documentation and promptly report discrepancies.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles using safe material handling practices and operate warehouse equipment safely, as trained.
  • Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts, physical inventory counts, stock replenishment, inventory adjustments, and discrepancy investigations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse that supports efficient operations.
  • Provide delivery coverage as required by operating company vehicles, completing deliveries and pickups, and conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Follow all health and safety policies, safe work procedures, food safety requirements, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Complete basic administrative tasks, including data entry, inventory updates, and maintaining accurate warehouse records and documentation.
  • Assist with other tasks and warehouse projects as required.


Delivery Operations:

  • Provide backup driving coverage when the assigned driver is absent or additional delivery support is required.
  • Safely operate company panel vans and G-class straight trucks while following assigned routes, schedules, traffic laws, and company procedures.
  • Verify orders against delivery manifests, obtain proof of delivery, and promptly report shortages, damages, delays, or delivery issues.
  • Complete required vehicle inspections and assist with loading and unloading products while following food safety, health and safety, and safe material-handling requirements.


Education, Skills and Requirements

  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, shipping and receiving, inventory control, or material handling is preferred.
  • Some experience with commercial driving operating a straight truck is preferred.
  • Valid G Class driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment, including Raymond Reach Fork Truck, Walker Rider Pallet Jack and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate inventory and warehouse records.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to safe work practices.


Pay: $24.00 per hour, with a $3.00 per hour premium when assigned to operate a straight truck.
