Job description

Ferla Family Bikes is looking for a motivated and mechanically skilled Bike Technician & Assembler to join our growing team in Gardena, California.
This is a hands-on position responsible for assembling, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and preparing our electric cargo and family bikes for customers. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble electric cargo and family bikes from start to finish
  • Perform final assembly, adjustments, and quality-control inspections
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues
  • Adjust brakes, gears, wheels, steering, chains, and other bicycle components
  • Install accessories and replacement parts
  • Test bikes to ensure they are safe and functioning properly before delivery
  • Prepare completed bikes for customer pickup, shipping, or local delivery
  • Assist with local customer deliveries as needed
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
  • Complete assigned work orders accurately and efficiently
  • Work with the warehouse team to meet daily production and shipping goals
Qualifications
  • Previous bicycle assembly or repair experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with strong mechanical experience
  • Automotive, motorcycle, electrical, mechanical, or similar hands-on experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working with hand and power tools
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to follow assembly instructions and procedures
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and quality
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Able to lift and maneuver large bikes, cargo bikes, and components
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred for local deliveries
Compensation & Benefits
  • $18–$22 per hour, depending on experience
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Additional bonuses for local bike deliveries
  • Full-time, consistent Monday–Friday schedule
  • No weekend shifts
