Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages daily route assignments to ensure all customers are properly serviced be contractual agreements
  • Monitors service, safety and production of all drivers on the assigned route
  • Manages driver time and attendance to ensure efficiency
  • Responsible for resolving issues with Driver errors and missed customer pickups
  • Oversees driver compliance with regulatory agency and company training
  • Coordinates with Safety and HR teams for driver drug and alcohol testing and physical requirements
  • Conducts appropriate investigations for all incidents and injuries appropriately suggesting areas of improvement and training
  • Maintains a relationship with the dispatch team regarding customer service and any foreseeable issues
  • Works with the Operational and HR teams to resolve any employee relation concerns
  • Manages all appropriate documentation for the Department of Transportation compliance
  • Manages and audits all daily driver documentation and data to include time and attendance, service tickets, and driver hours
  • Promotes a union free workplace as appropriate
  • Analyzes daily route and suggests areas of improvement to the Operation Management team

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • Post-secondary education in business, computers, or office management

Experience and Competencies:

  • Experience in the waste industry with DOT regulated positions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Prompt, professional and dependable demeanor
