We are seeking a full time Facilites Maintenance Helper.  This person will be respnsible for daily janitorial upkeep of the faciltiy and assisting the maintenance technician with other duties as assigned.

  • Floor Care: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping, waxing, and polishing hard floors and carpets.
  • Sanitization: Disinfecting high-touch points, cleaning glass/mirrors, and thoroughly sanitizing restrooms and breakrooms.
  • Waste Management: Emptying trash and recycling receptacles, and transporting waste to central disposal areas.
  • Inventory Management: Monitoring cleaning supply levels and notifying management when to reorder products.
  • Building Maintenance: Performing minor repairs (e.g., replacing light bulbs, unclogging sinks, painting, upkeep projects) and reporting major repair needs to facility managers.
  • Security & Safety: Locking doors, securing the facility after hours, and assisting in the immediate cleanup of hazardous spills.
  • Outdoor Upkeep: Sweeping, picking up trash

  • Knowledge of Cleaning Agents: Understanding OSHA/WHMIS standards and the safe use of chemical cleaners and EPA-registered disinfectants.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), bend, and perform strenuous tasks.
  • Time Management: Capability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and follow detailed daily or weekly cleaning checklists
  • Basic Knowledge of General Repairs
