Imperial Dade has a Class 8 Delivery Driver role available in Catano, PR. Join a strong and continuously evolving transportation group, helping our business grow. Imperial Dade is a great place to take that next step if you're eager to find your next opportunity.
The Class 8 Delivery Driver will be responsible for a route of stops daily. The deliveries require unloading the product via hand, pallet jack, and dolly and delivering the merchandise to the customer-designated location. The essential aspects of this position are delivering products and providing exceptional customer service.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 6:00 am until finish.
You will:
  • Safely operate a 24' box truck of 26,000 pounds of gross vehicle weight (GVW)
  • Load and unload cargo via hand, manual pallet jack, and lift gate
  • Properly track and document the activity log
  • Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
  • Inspect the truck before and after each trip
  • Communicate with customers with an outgoing, positive attitude

You have:
  • A valid commercial driver's license
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Exam
  • A good driving record
  • 1 year of recent CDL B experience
  • 1 year of route delivery experience
  • 1 year of manual pallet jack and hand truck experience
  • Lift gate experience
  • Ability to handle physical workload (lift 50+ pounds comfortably and unassisted)
  • Strong work ethic
