Job Summary

We are a leading provider in the aftermarket collision auto part industry, specializing in delivering high- quality parts to automotive repair shops and multi-shop operators. Empire Auto Parts is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and timely delivery of parts, ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' businesses.

As a Delivery Driver Lead, will be responsible for leading a team of auto part delivery drivers in the aftermarket collision auto part industry. The role will involve ensuring timely and efficient delivery of auto parts to various customers, including body shops, dealerships, and other automotive service providers. The Lead Driver will oversee the daily operations of the delivery team, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time, and all customer service standards are met.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead a team of delivery drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of auto parts to customers.

• Manage the daily operations of the delivery team, including monitoring driver performance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

• Communicate effectively with customers, both internal and external, to ensure that all delivery expectations are met.

• Troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues in a timely and professional manner.

• Train new delivery drivers and ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to perform their job duties.

• Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure that all orders are accurately picked and staged for delivery.

• Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules, routes, and customer interactions.

• Collect payment from customers and ensure that all transactions are completed accurately.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a strong work ethic among delivery drivers.

• Collaborate with other departments, including sales and warehouse, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of products.

• Oversee the accurate and timely submission of payroll activities. Including and not limited to timekeeping, approvals of PTO, etc.


Required Skills/Abilities

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on delivery or logistics.

• Prior experience leading a team of delivery drivers or related experience.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and make decisions on the spot.

• Ability to operate a delivery truck or van.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with delivery management software and systems.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in transportation operations.
