Summary Job description : The primary objective of the pickup and delivery driver is to provide a safe, efficient, prompt, and courteous gas pickup and delivery service, while promoting ALC's quality and safety goals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Checks delivery routes, road conditions, vehicle condition, and customer requirements to ensure the efficient and timely restocking of customer cylinder inventories.

  • Loads and unloads trucks and collects cylinders as needed.

  • Is responsible for the maintenance of trucks and equipment.

  • Is responsible for inspecting cylinders.

  • Provides customers with prompt and courteous delivery of bottled gas and/or welding products.

  • Maintains a personal connection with customers, account managers, warehouse staff, and customer service teams.

  • Drives the vehicle safely, ensuring both their own safety and that of all persons exposed to the equipment.

  • Reports all unsafe conditions and accidents.

  • Advises customers on proper cylinder handling and storage methods.

  • Generates delivery and receipt forms using computer systems.

  • Maintains accurate truck logs.

  • Adheres to and complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regarding medical gases and medical devices within the scope of their duties.
