We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transport Driver to operate a lowboy trailer for the loading, transport, and unloading of heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and other construction machinery across various job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a lowboy trailer to transport heavy equipment to and from job sites.
  • Safely load and unload heavy equipment, ensuring secure positioning and tie-down.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as state and federal transportation regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs, fuel receipts, and inspection reports.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to coordinate transportation schedules.
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of the lowboy trailer and equipment.
  • Ensure timely delivery of equipment to meet project schedules and deadlines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating lowboy trailers and transporting heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including loading and securing heavy equipment.
  • Excellent driving record with a demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
