Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner (Wound Care) Springfield IL

We are looking for an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our medical group in Central Illinois areas mainly based in the Springfield IL region. We offer 100% mobile wound care so the provider will travel to people’s homes and facilities (we provide car and MA/driver) providing high quality chronic wound care. The position will potentially be 2-3 days a week to start with possibility of 4-5 days a week, depending on patient flow and scheduling.

We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who is compassionate, caring, optimistic, self-motivated, gets excited about a challenge with a willingness to learn. Must be a team player who has a genuine interest in helping others and be within commuting distance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess specialized knowledge in wound management and demonstrate expertise in providing comprehensive care to patients with chronic wounds. This position will require the incoming PA or NP to travel to different locations, providing comprehensive, in-home and in-facility wound care services.

Duties:

  • Provide advanced wound care treatments in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, long-term care, and skilled nursing facilities
  • Assessing and evaluating wounds to determine the appropriate treatment plan.
  • Implementing evidence-based wound care protocols and techniques.
  • Performing wound debridement, dressing changes, advanced biologics, and other wound care procedures.
  • Monitoring and documenting wound healing progress.
  • Educating patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff on wound management techniques and prevention strategies.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes and ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure in Illinois
  • Must be within commutable distance within the Springfield area
  • Certification/training and clinical experience in wound care Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, CWS, or similar) we can provide training
  • Proficiency in wound assessment, treatment modalities, and wound care products.

Salary:

  • $70 to $80 /hr(depending on training/certifications)

Schedule:

  • Full time or Part time (Weekdays only Mon-Fri)
