Zuern Building Products is currently looking for the right person to join our Delivery Team at our Cross Plains location.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Follow company safety policies and best practices while loading, transporting, and unloading materials.
  2. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, drivers, customers, and team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  3. Assist in loading delivery vehicles and verifying loads prior to departure.
  4. Inspect invoices and delivery documentation to ensure load accuracy.
  5. Perform tie-down and load securement inspections before leaving the yard.
  6. Safely transport building materials and product returns to customer locations.
  7. Inspect delivery sites and use sound judgment to safely maneuver vehicles, unload materials, and protect customer property during deliveries.
  8. Safely unload building materials and product returns while providing excellent customer service.
  9. Meet scheduled delivery deadlines while maintaining safety and service standards.
  10. Take and upload required delivery and return photos using the BisTrack app.
  11. Perform routine vehicle inspections, basic truck maintenance, and report maintenance concerns.
  12. Assist in loading customer pickup orders as needed.
  13. Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining inventory when not making deliveries.
  14. Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, equipment, inventory, and buildings.
  15. Protect materials from damage during loading, transportation, unloading, and storage.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Requirements

Qualifications


1. Valid Wisconsin driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

2. Knowledge of safe material handling, load securement, and transportation practices.

3. Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles and equipment in a variety of traffic and weather conditions.

4. Familiarity with navigation systems and the ability to efficiently navigate delivery routes.

5. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.

6. Attention to detail and accuracy when inspecting loads, delivery documents, and customer orders.

7. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and team members.

8. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and team members.

9. Ability to lift and carry 25 to over 100 pounds on a consistent basis with the ability to twist, bend, and move materials safely. Possible weight of 125 pounds and over at times.

10. Forklift certification required or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.

11. Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.

12. Alert, focused, and detail-oriented.

13. Self-starter who works well independently, exercises good judgment, and collaborates effectively with customers and team members.

14. Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
