Job description

The Medical Equipment Delivery Driver is responsible for driving to and from healthcare locations to complete delivery and equipment management tasks for a district office, including customer delivery and pick-up of medical equipment; processing, cleaning, inspecting, and testing equipment including inventory maintenance. Build relationships with patients, families and care givers.

Monday - Friday, 7:30 - 4:00, on call rotation.

What You Will Do in This Role?

  • Safely load, secure, and deliver medical equipment to customers. Retrieves equipment from customer locations, safely transporting the equipment back to the office.
  • Educate and engage customers at the time of delivery, keeping customers informed on the features and functionality of the equipment
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner to ensure accurate documentation for billing, inventory, and regulatory compliance.
  • Obtain appropriate signatures to verify receipt of items delivered
  • Operate assigned vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Report major repairs, service needs, incidents or accidents to proper authorities
  • Takes "on call" time on a predetermined, rotating basis during week and weekends
  • Performs warehouse and office maintenance tasks as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver's license in state of residence

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Delivery experience, preferred
  • Driving experience, required
  • Experience working in healthcare, home health or the medical field, preferred
