Job description

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide efficient and courteous service to Food City shoppers.
  • Merchandise Service Deli cases
  • Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory of Service Deli and Supporting merchandise according to the department's needs.
  • Responsible for receiving and rotation of all products ordered.
  • Maintain proper pricing of all products.
  • Maintain a clean department according to company standards.
  • Enforce and maintain all safety policies and procedures.
  • Promote sales and merchandise using active and passive sampling, announcements, and demos.
  • Prepare Service Deli items according to recipes and company standards.
  • Implement all local, state, and federal regulations including weights and measures as it pertains to Service Deli department.
  • Responsible for maintaining all departmental paperwork and keeping accurate records including short date list, invoicing, and production sheets.
  • Responsible for all ad products during ad period and follow all sales and ad plans.
  • Responsible for quality and freshness of all products.
  • Maintain company health, safety, and HAACP programs.
  • Responsible for training, safety, and upkeep of all company slicers.
  • Clean and maintain the deli case.
  • Responsible for setting and maintaining the proper planogram.
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Food Service experience a plus, but not required
  • Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
  • Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
