Deli-Bakery clerks are responsible for preparing baked goods and displaying said goods and deli items. Clerks will also operate mixers, ovens, scales, slicers, fryers, as well as wrap and price items within the deli-bakery department. They will ice pastries, decorate cakes; fill displays while also assisting customers with purchases and any other tasks assigned by management. Deli-Bakery clerks are responsible for maintaining a clean work area and following all safety rules set in place by the store.
