What is a delegate?

Delegates are individuals chosen or elected to represent a group of people, typically at conferences, conventions, or political assemblies. Their main responsibility is to voice the opinions and interests of those they represent, participate in discussions, and cast votes on various issues. Delegates can be found in many settings, including political parties, international organizations, and professional associations. They play a crucial role in decision-making processes and help ensure that diverse perspectives are considered.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a delegate?

  • Partner with operational leaders to develop, monitor, and track corrective action plans (CAPs), remediation activities, and audit follow-up efforts.
  • Support the UF Health Delegated Network Governance Committee by coordinating meetings, agendas, documentation, minutes, action items, and governance records.
  • Prepare dashboards, compliance reports, leadership updates, and governance metrics to support organizational oversight and decision-making.
  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of delegated network policies, procedures, NCQA crosswalks, and audit readiness documentation.
  • Collaborate with Managed Care, Medical Staff Services, Provider Enrollment, Revenue Cycle, Physician Services, and regional operational teams to ensure delegated activities remain compliant, consistent, and audit-ready.
