Central Office _ (Supply Employee) Substitute Teacher (Retired)

**This is a temporary day-to-day position. ** 
Due to the high volume of applications, only qualified candidates will be contacted as needed. 
To be considered as qualified, your application must be?COMPLETE and contain the following: 

  • Valid GaPSC teaching certificate
  • One Professional Reference 
  • Proof of retirement from Teachers Retirement System of Georgia (TRSGA)

The DeKalb County School District is currently seeking certified and/or retired teachers to work as Substitute Teachers in schools throughout the district for the 2026-2027 school year.

Title: Teacher Substitute (Retired)

As a substitute teacher, you will assume the duties and responsibilities of the regular classroom teacher, with a primary focus on maintenance of good classroom management and the presentation of a predetermined quality instructional plan.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

 Standards Commission approved accredited college or university required.

CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, PERMITS:

Valid Professional Standards Commission approved certificate at level T-4 or above in a core certification area.
