Job description

Support Manufacturing That Powers Mission-Critical Technology

Elma Electronic is a global leader in advanced embedded computing solutions, electronic packaging systems, and precision manufacturing serving the aerospace, defense, industrial and communications industries.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to join our Lawrenceville manufacturing operation. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production schedules, coordinating material flow, and ensuring timely receipt and shipment of components and finished goods.

This is not a general warehouse position. We are seeking candidates with experience supporting manufacturing, production, inventory control, materials management, or supply chain operations.
What You Will Do

As a Materials Coordinator, you will help ensure the right materials are available at the right time to support production and customer deliveries while maintaining accurate inventory records within our ERP system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, verify, and process incoming materials, components, and supplies.
  • Perform ERP system transactions related to receiving, inventory movement, work orders, and stock locations.
  • Support manufacturing operations by issuing materials to production, pulling kits, and resolving shortages.
  • Process work-in-process (WIP) receipts and material transfers.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Create and manage repair work orders for non-conforming materials.
  • Coordinate the movement of inventory from receiving, production, and storage locations.
  • Process domestic and international shipments using UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight carriers.
  • Verify documentation, packing slips, Certificates of Compliance, and shipping records.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and material location data within the ERP system.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow established quality procedures and company policies.
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, materials, inventory control, logistics, or warehouse environment.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations through receiving, inventory control, kitting, work orders, and shipping.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, or Warehouse Management Systems (D365, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Made2Manage, or similar).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately process inventory transactions and maintain records.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in electronics, aerospace, defense, sheet metal fabrication, industrial manufacturing, or electromechanical assembly environments.
  • Cycle counting and inventory reconciliation experience.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Knowledge of Certificates of Compliance, material traceability, and quality requirements.
Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have experience supporting production through inventory management and material movement—not simply shipping and receiving packages. We are looking for someone who understands:

  • Inventory accuracy
  • Manufacturing work orders
  • Material shortages and replenishment
  • Kitting and production support
  • ERP transactions
  • Receiving and material traceability
  • Production scheduling support
Physical Requirements
  • Regular lifting and carrying of materials up to 70 pounds.
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Repetitive handling, reaching, pulling, and pushing of materials.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Why Join Elma?
  • Stable and growing global manufacturing company
  • Competitive compensation
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off and Company Holidays
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Career Growth and Development Opportunities
  • Collaborative Team Environment
