Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Defensive Systems Modeling & Simulation Project Manager to join our innovative team! In this role, you will lead and manage projects focused on ballistic missile defense (BMD), anti-satellite (ASAT), man-portable air-defense systems (MANPADS), and surface-to-air missile (SAM) threat modeling and simulation. You will support the threat intelligence community and provide critical expertise to our acquisition partners.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Leading and managing end-to-end Modeling & Simulation (M&S) projects for defensive systems such as BMD, ASAT, MANPADS, and SAM, including project planning, execution, risk management, and delivery of high-fidelity M&S products.
  • Aligning and managing technical scope, cost, and schedule to meet customer priorities and acquisition community needs.
  • Overseeing scenario development, trade studies, and sensitivity analyses; coordinating technical teams to assess threat capabilities, system performance, and impacts on missile defense architectures.
  • Managing project documentation and deliverables, ensuring technical reports, briefings, and data packages clearly communicate modeling assumptions, methods, and results to senior stakeholders.
  • Providing project and technical leadership to multi-disciplinary teams, including staffing, financial tracking, status reporting, and regular engagement with government customers and partner organizations.

Required Clearance:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM discipline.
  • 10+ years (or 15+ years for Senior/Principal level) of experience supporting the threat intelligence community with Modeling & Simulation of BMD, ASAT, MANPADS, and/or SAM threat systems.
  • Proven experience as a project manager or task lead for defensive system M&S projects, including direct support to the acquisition community.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules, and to synthesize complex technical findings into clear, actionable products and briefings for senior leadership.
  • Strong knowledge in developing, maintaining, and delivering defensive system models.
  • Familiarity with defensive weapon systems and their modeling architectures, including radar, sensors, missiles, and command & control (C2) systems.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Experience managing a portfolio of BMD or missile defense M&S projects, including strategy development, roadmap planning, and cross-program coordination.
  • Background in task order and contract execution: financial management, staffing plans, risk and issue management, and performance reporting.
  • Familiarity with missile defense architectures, threat characterization methodologies, and verification/validation practices for large-scale threat M&S environments.
  • Experience collaborating with acquisition program offices, requirements and analysis organizations, and other intelligence centers to align M&S outputs with program milestones and decisions.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills, with a track record of building and guiding high-performing technical teams on complex defense projects.

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
