Job description

Sr Infrastructure Engineer What You'll Do
• Lead end-to-end build and lifecycle management of VMware ESXi/VCF stack environments, including vCenter, vSAN, and vSphere clusters
• Architect and integrate NSX-T/NSX-V network virtualization solutions, including micro-segmentation, distributed firewalling, and overlay networking
• Design rack topology and physical infrastructure layouts to support high-availability, mission-critical workloads in data center and tactical environments
• Develop, enforce, and maintain STIG-compliant host profiles across virtualization layers in accordance with DISA requirements
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to support ATO processes, RMF documentation, and continuous monitoring requirements
• Serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert, mentoring junior engineers and providing guidance on architecture decisions
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements aligned with program roadmaps and customer requirements
• Produce and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and configuration baselines
What You Bring
• 7–10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering, with significant depth in VMware virtualization environments
• Demonstrated expertise with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and NSX
• Strong working knowledge of DISA STIGs and host profile enforcement across virtualized infrastructure
• Experience designing physical rack topologies and data center infrastructure for enterprise or government programs
• Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53, and the ATO process in a DoD or IC environment
• Active Top Secret security clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility strongly preferred
• VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, or VCDX) a plus
• Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform, PowerCLI) preferred
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience supporting classified programs in a DoD, IC, or cleared defense contractor environment
• Familiarity with tactical or deployed infrastructure environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or III certification (Security+, CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent)
