Join AZAD as a System Administrator – Microsoft Cloud Engineer

Provide support to Unified Communications within the IT department at the facility. This position supports Enterprise Messaging and cloud communications through Exchange Online, M365 for Government, Exchange Online Protection, Teams for Government, OneDrive for Government, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender XDR, and Microsoft Purview. The Cloud System Administrator 3 provides service support for JNPC's cloud-based Exchange Online, M365 for Government, Teams for Government, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender XDR, and Microsoft Purview, as well as messaging system support to facilitate sustainable, stable and secure enterprise, on‑prem level servers including backup recovery, performance tuning, upgrades/patches, maintenance, troubleshooting, archiving, and litigation hold and e‑discovery support. The Cloud System Administrator 3 performs a variety of work related to administering and supporting the Unified Communications team.

This is a 2‑year plus consultant position with a high probability of long‑term and ongoing employment. The role is full‑time remote but requires residency in Washington, Oregon, Montana or Idaho.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $60.00 - $64.00, depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as the composition of the selected compensation package.

Requirements
  • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Technology (or related technical field) is preferred.
  • With an applicable Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, 8 years of experience is required.
  • Without an applicable degree, 10 years of experience is required.
  • Experience must include direct work experience in Information Technology performing cloud‑based system & service administration.
  • 2 years of experience with scripting skills sufficient to maintain Exchange Online, Entra ID, and M365 environments.
  • 5 years of experience troubleshooting hybrid and cloud‑based system level problems.
  • Ability to interpret architecture and design configurations from vendors or other teams to enable clear implementation standards and guidelines.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License/Real ID is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with implementation of Teams Phone/Calling: SIP trunk, Direct Routing, and Session Border Control knowledge.
  • Experience with managing and maintaining Microsoft cloud‑based technologies.
  • Experience working with Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) filtration system or Email Filtration/E‑mail protection technology.
  • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Certificate Authority.
  • Experience with High Availability Technologies.
  • Experience working in a large production environment.
