The SLA Analysis Group's mission is to deliver objective analyses, plans and strategies to US Navy, US Marine Corps, USAF, other DoD, and Australian Defence Force clients to support technology development, acquisition, delivery and sustainment decisions. The group provides the core of SPA thought leadership on Undersea Strategy, Software Development and Cost Estimating, with additional benchmark capabilities in AI/ML & Decision Analytics, Modeling and Simulation, and Future Force Assessments.
SPA has a need for an APACS Project Lead to oversee the planning, coordination, and improvement of the Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System. This role ensures APACS continues to meet mission, policy, and user needs across a very large global user base. #MC
Responsibilities
The APACS Project Lead coordinates roadmap planning, requirements gathering, and prioritization of enhancements. You will work closely with policy owners, helpdesk staff, developers, and cybersecurity personnel to align system changes with mission and security needs. Additionally, you will track schedules, risks, and performance metrics and provide regular updates and briefings to leadership, lead configuration control activities and help manage stakeholder expectations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or related field; PMP or similar certification preferred
  • 8+ years of experience managing or leading complex IT or case-management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work across technical, policy, and user communities
  • Active TS clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with APACS, the Foreign Clearance Program, or other large DoD enterprise applications
  • Background in change management, configuration control boards, or enterprise IT governance
