Job description

Thisย Defect Technicianย will evaluate and disposition problem product lots and investigate corrective actions. If you have an interest in supporting continuous improvement projects, this job is for you!
Responsibilities:

  • Reject Validation for visual mechanical defects on package units and equipment sustaining and programming (recipe writing) tasks across a fleet of Defect metrology tools.
  • Evaluate / disposition problem product lots that fail defect inspection.
  • Image defects using scanning electron microscope (SEM) to characterize observed defects.
  • Instigate and participate in scrapped product corrective action procedures.
  • Assist the Engineering leads in equipment restriction and qualification tasks.
  • Assist in creating defect inspection tool recipes.
  • General operation of semiconductor defect metrology tools: SEM/AIT/KLA/SP1/EV300/1X .
  • Respond to tool issues / basic troubleshooting.

Minimum Qualifications:ย 

  • High school Diploma or Equivalentย ย 
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a production technician or equivalent post-secondary degree/applicable experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity suite software. ย 
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking.ย 
  • Requires the willingness and desire to learn and grow.ย

    • Repetitively lift up to 12 pounds.ย 
    • Stand and walk for the duration of a 12-hour shift.ย 
  • Not a morning person? No problem! This role isย assigned to the B Shift, which includes a 10% shift differential, and defined as Sunday through Tuesday in one week, and Sunday through Wednesday in the other week, from 6:00 pm to 6:15 am, 12.25 hours per day, with a 30-minute unpaid meal period in mid-shift.ย 

Preferred Qualifications:ย 

  • Associate, Technical degree preferred.ย 
  • Minimum 6 months of semiconductor metrology experienceย 
  • Laboratory experience in a manufacturing settingย 

U.S. Citizen Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.ย
