Job description

Production Associate, Conformal Coating (3:30pm to 12:00 midnight)

Working as a member of the operations team, the primary responsibility for this position will be for XY Coating involving masking/unmasking and will require manual dexterity and the ability to work with a microscope. You could be responsible for inspection, soldering, testing, warehousing, masking/coating, re-balling and mechanical assembly as well as the repair of CWDS products. In house training will be provided through theory as well as practical.

Location: Ottawa, ON

Salary Range:$38,200 - $50,900 plus 10% shift premium

Your Challenge:

  • Operate equipment efficiently following defined work schedule from area coordinator while following all Health & Safety guidelines

  • Support yield improvement projects

  • Provide recommendations for process changes and improvement

  • Complete all logs, reports and other data as defined by the Supervisor

  • Provide assistance to various work area requirements that help meet revenue expectations

  • Responsible for all material handling duties, lifting of daily supplies and products as required

  • Willing to support three shift rotations as required

What you Bring:

  • Manufacturing experience of 2-4 years would be an asset

  • Knowledge of defect recognition for workmanship standards and requirements

  • Experience working with formal procedures and supporting documents

  • Experience working in a team environment

  • Minimum of a Grade 12 diploma

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good organizational skills

  • Knowledge and use of computers and computer related equipment

  • Able to perform work with keen dexterity would be an asset

  • Able to perform repeatable tasks for durations of time

  • Good time management skills

  • Flexibility to take on additional tasks and to work outside of core business hours on short notice

  • Work well under pressure

  • Team player, with demonstrated ability to achieve end results through and with others in team

  • Ability to understand industry and quality standards

  • Effective problem-solving skills

  • Soldering skills would be an asset

  • Understanding of SMT technology would be an asset
