Balancing multiple stakeholders’ expectations while maintaining accurate defect tracking can also be demanding. Successful Defect Managers proactively facilitate meetings, clarify defect statuses, and help develop efficient workflows to resolve issues quickly, fostering a collaborative environment.

What are Defect Managers?

Defect Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the defect management process within a project or organization, particularly in software development and quality assurance. They coordinate the identification, documentation, prioritization, tracking, and resolution of defects (bugs or issues) found during testing phases. Defect Managers act as a bridge between testing teams and developers to ensure that defects are addressed efficiently and do not hinder project timelines. Their role is crucial to maintaining product quality and ensuring that all issues are properly managed before release.
