Job description

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an upbeat, customer-focused, and analytical individual to join the School Membership team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with customers and responding to incoming inquiries. You are well-organized and extremely personable. We are looking for a quick learner who is flexible and can take on a variety of independent projects. 

As a School Membership Specialist, you'll be supporting schools and educators by responding to questions, solving problems and ensuring they have an exceptional experience with us. You are someone who is passionate about and dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to our growing customer base. 

This position requires you to be in our Raleigh, NC, area office. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Clearly explain key product (IXL and Education.com) features and benefits to customers through email and phone queues
  • Generate quotes for new customers as well as renewal and upgrade quotes for existing customers
  • Keep detailed records of new business and renewal activities, as well as customer communications in Salesforce
  • Develop a deep understanding of IXL's products (IXL and Education.com) and what sets us apart from competing programs
  • Partner with internal teams to drive new business sales, high renewal rates, and ensure a smooth customer experience
  • Share ideas and feedback to help streamline and improve workflows
  • Submit purchase orders and assist with credit card and check payments
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and support to our new and current customers
  • Additional projects as assigned
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • BA/BS Degree
  • 3+ years of customer service experience 
  • Experience in K-12 education is a plus
  • Exceptional phone skills
