Rooms Deep Cleaner
Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
Position Overview: The Deep Cleaner is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness in sleeping rooms. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining guest satisfaction and directly impacts hotel cleanliness scores. The ideal candidate will uphold exceptional cleanliness standards consistently.
Qualifications:
  • Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and evenings.
  • Basic reading skills to understand room numbers, dates, and instructions.
Essential Functions:
  1. Room Cleaning:
    • Conduct thorough deep cleaning of assigned guest rooms, which includes:
    • High dusting of walls and surfaces.
    • Vacuuming carpets and rugs.
    • Cleaning and sanitizing baseboards and all high-touch areas.
    • Washing windows and cleaning window seals.
    • Make beds and change linens, ensuring all amenities are replenished and that each room consistently meets the highest cleanliness standards within designated timeframes.
    • Responsible for thoroughly cleaning and scrubbing bathroom showers and floors, which will involve kneeling and other physical activities as necessary.
  1. Safety Awareness:
    • Be vigilant for safety hazards (e.g., broken glass, frayed cords, leaks) and report any issues to the Floor Supervisor or Housekeeping Office.
    • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the “Bloodborne Pathogens Program.”
  2. Guest Interaction:
    • Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times.
  3. Pest Inspection:
    • Inspect mattresses for bed bugs before making beds and report any findings to the Executive Housekeeping Manager for immediate action.
Additional Duties:
  • Assist with other related tasks as requested by supervisors.
  • Provide suggestions for improvement to enhance cleaning processes.
Work Environment:
Indoor settings with a mix of hard and carpeted surfaces; may require occasional outdoor work. Well-ventilated with artificial lighting.
