Southern Devall brings over 120 years of experienced backed by more than 230 barges, 70 towboats and the expertise of over 700 mariners company wide. Requirements:

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Valid TWIC Card
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment Non-DOT Physical and Drug Screen

Job Duties:

The deckhand is responsible for assisting with the labor required to load and discharge barges according to the cargo transfer procedures in a safe and efficient manner. The Deckhand is also responsible for conducting daily routine vessel maintenance, safety equipment inspection and good housekeeping while maintaining clean work areas and equipment.
