We support building owners, investors, and tenants through every phase of a building's lifecycle from construction and acquisition through upgrades and renovation to disposition.
CodeGreen is currently looking for an experienced and driven, senior-level Energy Engineer to join our Sustainability team.
If you're passionate about energy efficiency, sustainability, and making real-world impact through data-driven engineering, we'd love to talk. As a senior member of our Energy Engineering team, you'll play a key role in energy audits, report delivery, reviews of work done by more junior team members, and client engagement - helping our clients make their buildings greener and more efficient.
A Day in the life of Sr. Energy Engineer
  • Conduct utility analyses and on-site equipment data collection
  • Perform energy audits (ASHRAE Level 1 & 2 independently, Level 3 with support)
  • Calculate energy savings for upgrades (lighting, motors, VFDs, etc.)
  • Work on advanced analyses like central energy plants & renewables
  • Install and use testing equipment for data collection & analysis
  • Produce technical reports with clarity and precision
  • Research new technologies and stay on top of industry trends
  • Lead client meetings and project updates with confidence
  • Manage large client engagements covering multiple buildings and scopes of work

What you bring to the CodeGreen team
  • 6+ years' experience in energy engineering or a related field
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering preferred (other relevant degrees considered)
  • Strong skills in MS Excel, along with proficiency in Word & PowerPoint
  • Skilled in written communication (a writing sample from your current work may be requested during the interview process)
  • Ability to communicate complex data in a clear, concise manner
  • Passed the Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) exam - A plus but not required
  • Earned a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification - A plus but not required
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license - A plus but not required
