The High School Assistant Speech and Debate Coach would be expected to be available from the beginning of the season, September 2026 thru March 2027.
Applicants must complete the district required coaching requirements.
Coaching Requirements
1.CPR Certification:
Coaches must also produce a current First Aid and CPR card prior to season beginning. CPR courses are offered by the district and you can contact Mike Hansen for any upcoming courses. Please Note: PTSB can not accept online courses for the 1st Aid/CPR requirement. The course must be HANDS-ON and conducted by a certified 1st Aid/CPR instructor (the American Heart Association's Heartsaver program will be accepted). Also, 1st Aid/CPR cards or certificates must be current and valid, and issued within the last three years.
Coursework from any of the following organizations/institutions will satisfy the 1st Aid/CPR requirement for Coaching:
  • College or University Coursework in 1st Aid/CPR
  • American Red Cross 1st Aid/CPR Course
  • American Heart Association 1st Aid/CPR Course
  • The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Sport 1st Aid Course
  • American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Sport 1st Aid Course

2. Concussion/ and Bullying Certification:
These are free online courses offered through NFHS. To access them:

3.Fingerprinting
You will need to be fingerprinted for the state and the district. You will be required to do 2 fingerprint cards.
These can be done at any sheriff's office in the nation, fees vary by location, and are the responsibility of the applicant. Teton County requires an appointment. You can schedule one online at: http://www.tetonsheriff.org/?page_id=553
4. District Paperwork: We will supply you with required paperwork that will allow us to enter you into our software/payroll system.
