The Auto Dealership Porter plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the dealership by managing vehicle movement, maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles, and ensuring the lot is organized and presentable. The position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vehicle Movement & Organization:
  • Move vehicles to and from the service area, lot, and showroom.
  • Park vehicles in designated areas and ensure that the lot is neat, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Assist with the delivery and pick-up of vehicles, including driving vehicles to and from external locations (e.g., customer homes, service facilities).
  • Ensure that all vehicles are fueled and ready for test drives or delivery

2. Vehicle Maintenance & Cleanliness:

  • Clean and detail the exterior and interior of vehicles, including washing, vacuuming, and polishing as needed.
  • Inspect vehicles for any damage or required maintenance, reporting any issues to the service or sales departments.

3. Customer Service Assistance:

  • Greet customers in a friendly manner and assist them by directing them to the appropriate areas.
  • Escort customers to their vehicles and assist with vehicle preparation for delivery, ensuring the car is spotless and ready for handover.
  • Provide transportation for customers if needed (e.g., shuttle service to nearby locations)

4. Lot Management:

  • Monitor the cleanliness and order of the dealership lot, including picking up trash and organizing signage and promotional materials.
  • Keep track of inventory locations, ensuring vehicles are in their assigned spots and logged correctly.

5. Support for Sales and Service Teams:

  • Assist the service department by delivering vehicles to service bays or returning serviced vehicles to customers.
  • Support the sales team by moving vehicles to the showroom, setting up test drives, and retrieving vehicles for customer demonstrations.

6. General Duties:

  • Ensure dealership grounds and facilities are well-maintained and free of debris.
