What is a Dealer School?

A Dealer School is a training program designed to teach individuals the skills needed to work as a casino dealer. These programs cover the rules and procedures for popular table games such as blackjack, poker, craps, and roulette. Attendees learn about customer service, handling chips and cards, gaming regulations, and casino procedures. Completing dealer school can help prepare you for an audition or job as a dealer at a casino.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Casino Dealer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Casino Dealer, you need strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent, with formal training often provided through a dealer school. Familiarity with gaming tables, procedures, and casino management systems is acquired during training, and some states require gaming licenses or certifications. Exceptional customer service, communication, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are vital soft skills. These competencies are crucial for ensuring fair play, maintaining a positive gaming environment, and delivering excellent guest experiences.
