Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced psychiatrist to join our dynamic team in an inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, to clients with a wide range of mental health disorders. The psychiatrist will work collaboratively with our team of psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for clients in an inpatient setting. 
  • Prescribe and manage medication as necessary.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling as part of treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review and performance monitoring. 
  • Provide on call-coverage and guidance. 
  • Carry patient case load. 
  • Stay current with developments in psychiatry and participate in continuing education activities.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completed residency in Psychiatry.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Wisconsin or ability to obtain.
  • Valid DEA license in Wisconsin or ability to obtain. 
  • Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of mental health disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
