Job Requirements
Company: Quest Global Services-N.A., Inc.
Position Title: Lead Engineer
Location: 175 Addison Rd, Entrance A, Windsor, CT 06095 and unanticipated client
locations throughout the U.S.
Position Responsibilities: Design vibration monitoring and protection systems for heavy duty gas
turbines, Steam Turbines and heavy industrial rotatory machines. Procure review and validation
for vibration monitoring and protection equipment. Test and qualify equipment for machine
monitoring equipment's for industrial grade heavy equipment. Design, implement, and
commission control loops as per site requirements for control new unit jobs as well as software
upgrades. Leverage ToolboxST, CIMPLICITY for Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator and
Compressor code control software coding, simulation, and approvals as per standards and
contractual requirements. Review of control philosophy, P&I diagram, instruments list, flow chart.
Review and report all device discrepancies between P&IDs, signal lists and other relevant inputs
before software implementation. Perform controls software modifications for Power Generation
Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator and Compressor.
Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, or
related field, PLUS five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience
must include demonstrable knowledge of: Requirements Engineering & Traceability; Advanced
Control Algorithms incl. override controls for GT/ST/HRSG/BOP systems; HMI/SCADA
Engineering incl. navigation logic in GE Cimplicity, Ovation Studio, & custom object libraries;
P&ID-Driven Control Logic Development; PLC/DCS Programming; ST programming on GE
Mark Vie (ToolboxST); Ovation DCS; Allen-Bradley ControlLogix platforms; Configuration of
RTDs, thermocouples, differential/ultrasonic flowmeters, vibration probes, load cells, actuators,
MOVs, & motor starters w analog/digital I/O mapping; wiring per IEC 60204 / IEEE 602
standards; FAT/SAT verification; System Validation & Simulation; validation per API 670 / IEC
61508 SIL; Modbus RTU/TCP; Profibus DP/PA; OPC DA/UA configuration, & network
diagnostics for distributed control architectures. Travel to unanticipated client locations,
throughout the U.S., approximately 30% as required. Any suitable combination of education,
training, or experience is acceptable.
