Job description

Our client is seeking a Family Law / DCPP Attorney to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This role will primarily focus on Division of Child Protection & Permanency (DCPP) matters, along with some family law work. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with child welfare cases in New Jersey and enjoys working in this space. While deep expertise is not required, there is strong mentorship available, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to continue building their experience in DCPP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in DCPP matters, including abuse and neglect proceedings
  • Handle related family law cases as needed
  • Manage court appearances, hearings, and case strategy
  • Draft motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence
  • Collaborate with clients, caseworkers, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure deadlines are met

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law (New Jersey preferred)
  • Experience with DCPP and/or family law cases
