As an DBT Intern at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will see and maintain a small caseload of individual clients, complete comprehensive diagnostic assessments, person-centered treatment plans, clinical progress notes, and utilize assessment tools and ancillary therapy notes in alignment with 245i MN state standards for documentation. You have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients but can specialize as well. Sagent offers group hours if needed for program requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate mental health diagnoses, create, implement and maintain treatment plans and complete ongoing documentation.
  • Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • Active participation and responsibility in building, growing, and maintaining caseload.
  • Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in your community.
  • Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals.
  • Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings, attend weekly supervision, and trainings.

Requirements:
  • Must be pursuing a master's degree in either social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or psychology (with the eventual license of LPCC, LICSW, LMFT, or LP).
  • Candidates are completing a formal practicum or internship through their graduate program.
  • Experience and ability to demonstrate professionalism and integrity.
  • Previous work or volunteer experience related to behavioral health is preferred (common examples are Independent Living Skills, Inpatient Mental Health, Behavioral Program or Residential Experience).

Compensation:
This is a non-exempt position. Total earnings for this position will include a monthly stipend of $1,250.
*Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as licensure, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location. Estimates are factored on a 1.0 FTE.
