Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Database Administrator to manage and maintain our mission-critical databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and data integrity across our systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with SQL Server and other relational databases, as well as familiarity with cloud-based DB solutions, high-availability architectures, and DevOps workflows.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server and other RDBMS environments (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc. if applicable).
  • Monitor database performance, tune SQL queries, and optimize indexes and storage for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure data integrity, backup and recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans are effective and tested.
  • Implement and maintain high availability and replication strategies (e.g., Always On, Log Shipping, Mirroring, etc.).
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams on schema design, query optimization, and database integration.
  • Administer user access and security policies in line with company standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in the automation of operational DBA tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, or other scripting tools.
  • Support audits, incident response, and data migrations as needed.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and best practices for internal knowledge sharing.
