Position: Mainframe developer with AI/GenAI

Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ / Alpharetta, GA – Onsite

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description:

Participate in requirements analysis and impact assessment for enhancements, defect fixes modernization or regulatory changes.

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain application components using standard mainframe technologies, ensuring alignment with the client's approved coding, security and architectural standards.

Perform analysis, coding, unit testing and documentation for batch programs, online transactions and interfaces running on the mainframe platform.

Analyze troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents and defects

Support system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing UAT by providing defect fixes, data corrections and validation support

Participate in code reviews, design reviews, release planning and operational readiness activities.

Must Have Skills:

Very strong in mainframe enterprise COBOL and JCL.

Hands-on and an expert in VSAM, DB2 and CICS.

Clients are looking for hands-on, senior resources with expertise who can set up and drive the team.
