This person provides for an ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the service plan, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

Responsibility:
  • Plans activity program to carry out the objectives of the facility as part of total resident care
  • Schedule monthly Resident Council meetings and record all notes and give to the Administrator
  • Create a monthly calendar of social events and activities
  • Perform and record monthly resident weights
  • Supervision and protection of Residents during activities and compliance with safety regulations and policies
  • Coordinate the activities program with other services in the facility
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers when appropriate
  • Encourage resident participation in activities
