TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position begins August 27, 2026 for the 2026-27 school year.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the general supervision of the school principal, teach English language arts to middle school students with the possibility of teaching social studies at the middle school grade level as well. Prepare lessons and assessments both individually and in collaboration with content/grade level teacher teams. Deliver instruction, effectively manage the classroom environment, meet all other professional responsibilities.
This position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. The successful candidate will demonstrate a dedication to ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed, recognizing and addressing barriers to academic achievement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid Oregon Teaching License with middle school level Language Arts endorsement.
  • Valid Oregon Teaching License with middle school level Social Studies endorsement preferred.
  • Ability to meet job description requirements and district standards for teachers.
  • Preference may be given to those who are bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Experience with PLCs, best assessments and classroom practices highly desirable.
  • Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public; ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to respond to telephones, bells, students, co- workers, etc.; ability to respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.; ability to read written material; ability to operate office equipment; ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs)
