We are seeking compassionate and reliable Registered Nurses who are passionate about school health and eager to contribute to student success.
Position OverviewAs a School RN at TheraCare, you will provide direct nursing care to students during the school day in a variety of educational settings. Here at TheraCare, we offer Full-Time School Assignments, Daily School Assignments, and Trip Coverages. This position is perfect for RNs who are seeking a predictable weekday schedule, the opportunity to work closely with students, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the school community.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Oversee the school health office including triage, injury response, and wellness checks.
- Monitor student health conditions and respond to emergency situations.
- Communicate with parents, school staff, and agency supervisors regarding student care.
- Maintain accurate and timely health records in compliance with NYC DOE and NYS DOH guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to all public health protocols and nursing standards.
- Structured Monday-Friday schedule with no nights or weekends.
- Competitive pay with shift differentials and rate adjustments based on placement.

- Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, public health, or school-based roles.
- CPR/BLS certification (required).
- Familiarity with patient electronic database systems and documentation standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Hand dexterity ability (ability to operate mobile device, smart phone, computer).
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to travel to various locations on a near daily basis.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
