Salary: 45,000-65,000

Universal Stone seeks motivated, reliable, organized, and hardworking individuals to grow with the company as our business expands.


Summary

The Templater travels to job sites to gather the necessary measurement data for our CAD team to design and fabricate stone countertops.



Job Description:

  • Take job site photos.
  • Complete work orders noting all required measurements, polished edges, cut-outs, radiuses, and any other necessary specifications desired by the customer for the job
  • Accurately measure and create templates for countertops using a digital laser template machine and other tools.
  • Confirm with hand tape measurements to ensure numbers match.
  • On-the-job critical thinking to ensure jobs are completed promptly and according to our company's quality standards
  • Advising the client of any modifications required and providing critical information to the client concerning the templating and installation processes
  • Respond to general client inquiries while onsite and promptly communicate any relevant information about the job to the salesperson, scheduling, and production team.
  • Keep accurate records of templates and measurements.
  • Attends and participates in scheduled meetings and training as required by the owner and management
  • Maintained and troubleshooted template equipment as needed.
  • Turn in completed work orders and templates to the office at the end of the day.
  • Represent Universal Stone professionally while interacting with our customers through effective communication, timely arrival, neat and efficient work, and using caution and care while onsite
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations, OSHA programs and company policies, procedures



Qualifications

  • Valid Drivers License


Education and Experience

  • Background in countertop installation or templating is required
  • Possess intermediate mathematical skills with the ability to add and subtract fractions and decimals
  • Manufacturing or Construction experience highly preferred
  • Experience in drafting and designing architectural plans or kitchen and bath layouts
