Description

The Machine Operator will be responsible for the running of the equipment on the production lines. (Filler, Capper, Labeler, etc.) This individual is responsible for assisting in successfully meeting or exceeding the production goal set for the shift and helping to meet the quality and safety standards set for the line. The Machine Operator will assist the Value Steam Leader in the following duties as well as any other responsibilities required for the safe and efficient operation of a line.


Essential Job Duties:

Work on wet and/or dry production lines.

Ensure food products meet desired quality and safety standards.

Learn and be able to operate and calibrate all the equipment used on the lines.

Trouble shoot and correct basic problems on the equipment without assistance or with minimal assistance.

Follow proper and posted escalation process.

Fill out the PBR documentation correctly.

Start/Stop/run equipment with or without VSL present.

Set a daily example for behavior and attitude and attendance.

Meet or exceed daily production goals (including on-time startup, cleaning, etc.)

Assist the VSL in timely and proper breakdown, clean and reassembly of the production line.

Able to clean, dis assemble, and assemble the equipment as needed during full cleans, dry cleans, and/or purge cleans.

Understand Company food safety and food quality statement.

Understand and follow cGMPs, relevant SOPs and the employee handbook.

Work on the line with team while monitoring the overall progress and reporting issues in timely manner.

Must be familiar with the acceptable taste, odor and color of the products

Fill in for VSL or other positions on the line as needed.

Performs other related tasks, as required.

Basic Qualifications:?

Must be current on SOP training requirements per Operator training requirements.

Must have a minimum of 3 months' production experience in a BetterBody Foods facility.

Must be able to show practical competency at skill requirements per Operator training requirements.

Must pass QA supervisor review per Operator training requirements.

Must pass Facilities review per Operator training requirements.

Must pass Sanitation review per Operator II training requirements.

Highly attentive to details?

Able to lift up to 50 pounds?consistently

Good communication skills, ability to understand and follow written/spoken instructions in English.


Preferred Qualification:?

Forklift skills a plus?

Bilingual (English and Spanish)


Job requirements?

Able to stand for a 10-hour shift?

Occasional travel (less than 5 miles) may be required.


Shift Monday - Thursday 3:20PM to 1:50AM
