Job description

This position will be with Desert Environmental, LLC, an affiliate of WaterBridge Operating, LLC.

Summary of Position:

The Wash Rack Operator is responsible for washing out trucks on location.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

The following represents most of the position's duties but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules and standards, as well as corporate policies.

As a Wash Rack Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Washing out trucks (end dumps, vacuum trucks, and roll-off boxes) in an oil-based mud safety-sensitive environment.
  • Providing exceptional customer service.
  • Turning pumps on and off.
  • Identifying trucks entering and exiting the wash pad.
  • Cleaning up the mud in the wash bay so it can be loaded in a haul truck.
  • Washing handrails to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Identifying and reporting issues and problems by ensuring all equipment used in the wash bay is always ready and in working condition.
  • Checking oil in pumps.
  • Ensuring washout hoses, fitting, and nozzles are secure and not cracked or compromised.
  • Ensuring the pumps are not leaking.
  • Checking water fill lines to washout tanks.
  • Conducting all business activities in accordance with health and safety policies and legal compliance requirements.
  • Reporting any issues, problems, or unsafe conditions to the attention of the supervisor, superintendent, and/or HSE.
  • Helping with maintenance on all equipment, cleaning the scales, keeping inventory organized

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license with an insurable driving record is required.
  • Having 6 months to 1 year of related experience is preferred but not required.
  • Live in Pecos, TX, or within a 30-mile radius from Pecos, TX, required.
    • Company-paid housing will be provided during your working shift.
  • Live in Orla, TX, or within a 60-mile radius from Orla, TX, required.
    • Company-paid housing will be provided during your working shift.

Working Conditions/Environment:

  • Operates in a field environment.
    • May be subject to environments that are extreme in nature, such as heat, cold, etc.
    • The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to:
      • Standing, walking, or sitting for prolonged periods.
      • Walking on uneven and vegetated terrain; sampling activities such as hand auguring for soil sample collection.
      • Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
      • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and must be able to carry a self-contained breathing apparatus if needed. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • This is a full-time position.
    • 14/7 (14 days on 7 days off) Rotational Schedule
    • 12-hour shifts
