American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist First Assist for a busy 16-room OR with robotic, ortho, and neuro/spine surgical experience required.
Job Details
• Work in a 16-operating room surgical department at a hospital campus,
• Team-based staffing model with one RN, surgical assist, and surgical tech per OR room on day shift, tapering to fewer teams during evenings,
• Night shift is call-only coverage,
• 1:1 patient ratios,
• Procedures performed include robotic, neurosurgery, general, plastics, urology, and orthopedic surgeries, excluding transplant and cardiac cases,
• Uses Meditech EMR,
• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM,
• Call rotation averages 2 shifts per week, including weekday nights and weekend primary/backup coverage,
• No floating required,
Job Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required,
• Robotic surgery experience required,
• Orthopedic surgery experience required,
• Neuro/spine surgery experience required,
• CST certification required,
• Virginia state license required if applicable,
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start,
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months,
