About the Role

FreezPak Logistics is seeking a skilled and experienced Turret Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating turret trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Turret Operator will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of product storage and retrieval in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

What You’ll Do

  1. Turret Truck Operation:
    • Operate turret trucks to transport products to and from designated areas in the warehouse.
    • Use the turret truck to lift, move, and place products at various heights within the warehouse racking system.
    • Perform pre-operational checks on the turret truck to ensure safety and functionality.
  2. Inventory Management:
    • Accurately pick, store, and organize products according to the company's inventory management system.
    • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories as required.
    • Ensure products are properly labeled and stored in the correct locations.
  3. Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to OSHA regulations and food safety standards.
  4. Efficiency and Accuracy:
    • Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks to ensure the correct products are handled and stored.
    • Work efficiently to meet productivity goals and deadlines.
    • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to complete daily tasks and meet operational goals.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding inventory levels, product issues, and operational needs.

What You Bring to the Pak

  • Experience:
    1. Proven experience as a turret truck operator or similar role in a warehouse environment.
    2. Experience working in a refrigerated or frozen warehouse environment.
    3. Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Valid forklift and/or turret truck certification.
  • Skills:
    1. Knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory systems, and RF scanning devices.
    2. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    3. Ability to work in cold storage environments.
    4. Physical ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform manual labor tasks.
    5. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
    6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay Range: $20.00 – $22.50 per hour
