Hours are non-negotiable Core 10 hours: 3:35PM-2:05AM. All employees need to be available between the hours of 3:35PM and 2:05AM when overtime is required. Fridays will be required when overtime is needed Initial training for 2nd shift will be on first shift for 4, 8, or 12 weeks, dependent on position. $2 shift premium will be add to base pay when you transition to 2nd shift after training.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Assembles and solders component parts of shell and mix can assemblies according to production specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Reads blueprints, picklists, and production orders and retrieves parts. Determines required set-up and fixtures.
2. Cuts and bends copper tubing.
3. Cleans and grinds work pieces prior to soldering for proper bonding using files, grinders, and other cleaning apparatus.
4. Heats soldering iron in gas flame and uses acid to clean and make solder bond to tank.
5. Guides soldering iron to melt solder to bond copper coils to mix tank.
6. Installs parts in proper fixture and jig.
7. Determines and selects proper brazing materials for joining metals together.
8. Assembles proper shell, mix tank supports, and refrigeration lines together per assembly blueprints.
9. Operates open flame torch with proper oxygen acetylene settings for each brazing specification.
10. Uses acid, soft and silver solder, brazing rod, and soldering iron to solder and braze parts together to meet quality and production standards.
11. Key punches mix cans using proper gauges per print.
12. Grinds all needed surfaces of mix can before soldering.
13. Tests heat treat machines using airguns and tests parts for leaks.
14. Visually inspects parts and dips parts in neutralizer to clean excess flux.
15. Moves parts to aisle for truckers and keeps production records.
OTHER DUTIES:
1. Performs preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
2. Maintains cleanliness of work area and follows safe work practice rules.
3. Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.

Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Three months commercial, vocational, or other specialized training beyond high school.
Experience: One year related work experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Manual Dexterity: Work requires regular speed and accuracy for most of the working day.
Physical Effort: Work requires a considerable variety of fairly steady active physical exertion.
Working Conditions: Continuous exposure to disagreeable features.
Hazards: Injury may require a doctor's care. Time lost for part of a day may be to receive medical treatment.
