Position Summary:
The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the facility to ensure a safe and professional working environment. This position supports daily operations by performing general custodial duties throughout the shop floor, offices, restrooms, and common areas while adhering to company safety and quality standards.
The hourly range for this position is $19.00 to $22.00 per hour.
Shift: Monday - Friday
Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (You will be able to choose one shift)
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms throughout the facility.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the shop floor, offices, hallways, and common areas.
  • Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility and dispose of waste properly.
  • Operate the T600 Scrubber Machine to clean production and warehouse floors.
  • Operate floor waxing equipment to maintain clean and polished floor surfaces.
  • Operate advance floor cleaning machines in accordance with company procedures.
  • Sweep, mop, dust, and perform other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and follow all safety procedures while operating machinery.
  • Support a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • No previous experience required; training will be provided.
  • Must have reliable transportation to the West Babylon facility.
  • Must be able to safely operate cleaning equipment following training.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder).
