About this Job The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral, and psychiatric support needs. Pinecrest Supports & Services Center (PSSC) is seeking a dedicated Practical Nurse -Licensed to join our dynamic team.

This role is essential in ensuring high-quality care and coordination of nursing services across our programs. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Works directly under the supervision of the attending physician and the Registered Nurse in the implementation of physician orders for medication and treatments as well as the delivery of routine nursing care. Nursing care activities/treatments will include assessment/reassessment of the person deemed medically stable by the RN, with the delivery of any necessary interventions, medications as prescribed, and routine nursing treatments.

Confers with the RN in coordination of nursing care, therapeutic services, and policies/procedures regarding the assigned workload. Participates with the RN in data collection and implementation of the person's plan of care utilizing the nursing process. Make rounds with the physician, assisting with various treatments, examinations and transcription/implementation of physician orders.

Shows evidence of task completion and implementation of nursing care and the appropriate documentation in the person's integrated record according to both nursing and PSSC procedures. Provides functional supervision of the direct care staff and/or other practical nurse licensed 2 in nursing, preventative, and rehabilitative healthcare issues. LPN3 will function within their program as a medication administration chart auditor and report back any discrepancies or trends to the supervisor.

Accepts and performs additional assignments within the scope of practice of an LPN as requested by the RN for the smooth operation of the department and in the best interest of quality nursing care. Assists in the collection of data relative to Nursing Performance Improvement activities under the direction of the RN. Position-Specific Details: Department: LDH Pinecrest - Nursing Dept.

Appointment Type: This position may be filled by Detail to Special Duty, Probation, Promotion, Demotion, or Lateral Transfer. Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center. Career Progression Group: May be filled as a Practical Nurse -Licensed 1, 2, or 3, depending on the level of experience.

Work Schedule: Day Shift: 5:30 - 6 PM / Night Shift: 5:30 PM - 6 AM / Part-Time Shifts are available Compensation - Depends on Qualifications This position has a SER (Special Entrance Rate): Practical Nurse -Licensed 1 $19.48hr. - $25.44hr. Practical Nurse -Licensed 2 $20.84hr

- $27.22hr. Practical Nurse -Licensed 3 $22.30 hr.. - $29.13hr

This position receives premium pay of $ 10.00 per hour. This position also receives Shift Differential, Longevity Pay, and Additional pay options.
