Job description

Job Description

To remove finished product from the machines, inspect product to ensure quality specifications have been met and that all packaging requirements have been done according to production work order.

  • Read work order for product specifications and any special instructions concerning packaging, special skids, cartons, cradles, banding requirements, and samples

  • Inspects products for customer requirements and any defects

  • Assists in start-up and changeover of machinery or orders

  • Performs all required quality checks on all orders on a regular basis

  • Adheres to all packaging requirements per Production Work Order

  • Capable of entering production in JDE and printing all necessary paperwork, to include closing out last skid of order.

  • Completes at least one Work Place Observation per month.

  • Place customer labels on end of cartons or gaylords in a straight and neat manner. Adhere to any and all identification sheets, tally sheets, bar codes as requested by the customer

  • Follow AIB Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP'S) per written procedures and practices

  • Ensure proper housekeeping and safety by maintaining a clean and orderly work area

  • Maintain paperwork in order and not inter-mixed with orders that are completed or about to run.

  • Must know how to read and use a tape measure and weigh scale

  • Able to lift 50 pounds

  • Must have manual dexterity

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
