Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Type: Full-Time
Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for powering on, operating, and maintaining the packaging machine in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OSHA standards, company Safety Policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role supports workplace safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate production machinery according to established procedures and safety standards.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance.
  • Maintain accurate production records and logs.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
  • Follow all company policies, including safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Notify Line Supervisor of any non-conforming system or machine or of any nonfunctioning or broken parts or of any unsanitary conditions immediately, to ensure that a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) can be generated as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.
  • Ability to operate and maintain machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand/walk up to 8–10 hours.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, repetitive hand/arm motions.
  • Hand-eye coordination and visual acuity.
  • Ability to hear alarms/instructions in noisy environments.
Work Environment
  • Food production environment with exposure to spices, dust, noise, and temperature changes.
  • Frequent interaction with moving machinery and equipment.
  • Required PPE: safety glasses, ear protection, hairnet.
Safety amp; Compliance
  • Comply with OSHA, GMP, and company safety standards.
  • Participate in refresher training and toolbox talks.
  • Report injuries, near-misses, or unsafe acts immediately per-Florida WC law.
